It isn’t Nice to Share!
Contrary to what you may have learned while growing up, you don’t have to share! In fact, MLS rules prohibit sharing when it comes to protecting the integrity of your MLXchange password — even with your assistant or another agent. Fines can be as much as $5,000 for a single offense with a revocation of service for repeat offenders. An exception to this rule applies when using Identity Sharing in MLXchange to grant authorized access to your account. If you believe that your password has been compromised, it would be prudent to change it immediately. Simply contact the Help Desk at 407-218-8607 or 800-686-7451 for assistance in changing your password.
MLXchange Identity Sharing Feature
You may use the Identity Sharing feature in MLXchange to share your account with another MLXchange user in your office. To start identity sharing, click on your name at the top of the MLXchange home page; then click on the “Create New Shared Identity” link at the bottom of the pop-up. Once the new window opens enter the first and/or last name of the member you wish to share with to enable them to login as you. This function, built into MLXchange allows you to control who logs into your account on your behalf.
To protect the integrity of the MLXchange database — and your listings — MFRMLS will be monitoring the way certain accounts are utilized, looking for unusual or excessive activity. If you suspect that someone has access to your account, immediately call the Help Desk so we can change your password. Not only will you protect the MLS listings, you will avoid potential violations and any financial penalties that may be incurred. Thanks for your help!
